Edition 01 – Where do we begin?

Infinite Explorer has changed a lot over the past few months. We’re now a private travel company and an independent UK tour operator, fully ATOL protected, with client funds held securely in a trust account.

We’ve also become much clearer about the kind of travel company we want to be – and what we stand for.

There’s no shortage of travel inspiration out there. What’s harder to find is the judgement that helps you decide what deserves your time or money.

That’s where The Infinite Edit comes in.

Each Sunday, we’ll take one idea from the world of travel and tell you what we think of it. It might be a destination or hotel we believe should be on your radar, or a particular room that stands out from the crowd. At other times, we’ll look at the less obvious decisions around a trip -  when to go, whether spending less makes sense or why somewhere that looks perfect on paper might still not be right for you.

There’ll be places we love and things we think are overhyped. Sometimes we’ll focus on the details people tend to overlook – the location that saves you an hour every day, the timing that can completely change your experience of a destination or the service that makes everything run more smoothly.

Travelling well involves more than assembling a list of impressive places. It’s often those less obvious decisions that make the biggest difference to how a trip feels once you’re there.

These are the kinds of conversations we already have with our clients. The Infinite Edit gives us somewhere to share more of that thinking, along with the judgement that sits behind the trips we plan.

You won’t find round-ups of 10 places to visit before everyone else discovers them. We’d rather take one subject, look at it carefully and tell you what we think.

You may not always agree with us. That’s fine too. A point of view is far more interesting than another list of recommendations.
